How to Apply - Checklist, Dates & Deadlines
Admitted students who complete the following steps will be considered for an on-campus housing space on a first-come, first-served basis as space and demand allow. Please Note: Housing fills quickly based on the variance in numbers of new students admitted each year, therefore, on-campus housing cannot be guaranteed to any class level. On-campus housing option for International Students is in private bedrooms in on-campus apartments.
Regularly check the University Housing Calendar and Fees for updates as dates are subject to change.
Once your Cal Poly portal account has been activated, and your admission/acceptance to Cal Poly has been completed, you may e-mail housing@calpoly.edu or call University Housing at 805.756.1226 to activate your Housing tab, and gain access to the Housing Application System.
Apply beginning Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at 9am, for housing. The Housing application is available to International Students who have been admitted to the University.

Agree online to the "Student Housing License Agreement" - The License Agreement is available to students via www.my.calpoly.edu (Housing Channel) during the on-line application process.
Indicate your payment type on-line. (i.e., Installment or Annual payment).
Pay on-line for your housing. Directions for payment can be found on the Fees information page.
Submit the Meningococcal Disease Response Form to Cal Poly's Health Services. A "Meningococcal Disease Response Form" must be submitted prior to moving into on-campus Housing. "Response Form" is available at http://www.hcs.calpoly.edu/MeningInfo.pdf.
Submit Emergency/Medical Information on-line through the "Housing Application System." This information must be submitted before students will be permitted to view their room assignments in August. This information is in addition to Emergency Information students may already have submitted to Admissions.
Check the status of your application by re-accessing the "Housing Application System" via your my.calpoly.edu portal account. Please allow at least 10 business days for processing of "License Agreement" and payment.
June 15, 2009 - Students need to indicate to University Housing if on-campus housing is needed during the 2009 Winter Break (12/14/2009 - 1/1/2010). Additional housing fees required.
August 10, 2009 - Last day to cancel on-campus housing without financial penalty.
August 20, 2009 - Room assignments for Fall Quarter posted online at noon. To view room assignment, re-access your Housing application through the Cal Poly portal (my.calpoly.edu) then select the "Housing" tab to access the "Housing Application System."
September 10, 2009 (or any day after) - 12 noon to 6 pm International students move into on-campus housing.
September 22, 2009 - First day of Fall classes.
