Information for Summer Institute 2012
How to Apply - Checklist, Dates & Deadlines
On-campus housing is offered to Summer Institute Students participating in the Summer Institute Program held during the summer (all dates are tentative), in the Cerro Vista Apartments, July 21 through August 14, 2012.
June 15, 2012 (Friday) - Summer Institute students are emailed their Summer Institute Summer Housing License Agreement (from University Housing). Students with specific roommate requests or ADA needs can contact the Cerro Vista Apartments Housing Administration Office at (805) 756-7645.
By, July 6, 2012 (Friday) - Return the Summer Institute Summer Housing License Agreement marked as being paid by Financial Aid. Mail to:

July 13, 2012 (Friday) - Summer Institute room assignments in the Cerro Vista Apartments, and move-in instructions are emailed to students by University Housing.
July 16, 2012 (Monday) - Submit the Meningococcal Response Form to Cal Poly's Health Services,
Bldg. 27, San Luis Obispo, CA 93407. Or FAX to: (805) 756-5298.
July 21, 2012 (Saturday 12 noon to 4pm) - Summer Institute Program students check into the Cerro Vista Apartments.
July 23, 2012 (Monday) - Summer Institute classes begin.
August 13, 2012 (Monday) - Last day of Summer Institute classes.
August 14, 2012 (Tuesday) - Summer Institute students move out of the Cerro Vista apartments
by 8 pm.
The Cerro Vista Apartments include 4 single bedrooms with extra long twin beds (bring your own bedding) and 2 bathrooms in each apartment. Apartments are furnished, and telephone and cable connection is available along with high speed internet connection.

Fall 2012 Information
Mid February to Mid March (date to be determined) Fall Housing Application Available to Fall admitted students who have "accepted" their offer of Admission. The Housing application becomes available on the following day after students have accepted their offer of Admission. Go to the Cal Poly Portal (my.calpoly.edu) select the "Housing" tab, then enter the Housing Application System at "New Students - Fall 2012"
August 21, 2012 - Room assignments for Fall Quarter posted online beginning at 9 am. To view room assignment, re-access your Housing application through the Cal Poly Portal (my.calpoly.edu) then select the "Housing" tab to access the "Housing Application System."
September 12, 2012, Wednesday, beginning at 8:00 AM - Freshmen move into on-campus housing.
September 12 - September 17, 2012 (Wednesday - Monday) - Orientation week - Fall Launch & WOW
September 18, 2012, Tuesday - First day of Fall classes.
Saturday, December 8, 2012, 12:00 Noon - End of Fall Quarter housing period. Students must vacate their rooms for the Winter Break. If needed, Winter Break housing is offered for an additional fee of $797.00* (housing fee for 12/8/2012 to 1/5/2013). Please note: Students needing Winter Break Housing must live in the Cerro Vista Apartments for Fall Quarter. Please contact University Housing directly (before June 1st) for Winter Break housing arrangements.
January 5, 2013, 12:00 noon - Halls and Apartments re-open for Winter Quarter. Students can move back into their rooms anytime after 12:00 noon.
Monday, January 7, 2013 - First day of Winter classes.
