Agriculture Housing
Agriculture Housing offers a tremendous opportunity for qualified and motivated students enrolled at Cal Poly to gain practical experience working in positions of responsibility at campus agricultural production units.
Agriculture Housing student residents support campus operations on a year-round basis. There are 13 homes with 50 spaces available. Hiring is done by the unit manager and specific area, and room assignments are determined by the housing manager.
Students must attend Cal Poly full time and maintain a 2.0 GPA or better along with obtaining a residential job placement to qualify for this housing option. Resident positions are posted on Mustang Jobs in February for the coming summer and academic year. These selections are made on an annual basis. Requirements vary and will be listed in the individual job descriptions but often include having taken Enterprise Classes that relate to the unit you are applying to, able to work 20+ hours a month, being available for both scheduled and unscheduled work hours, and able to start in the summer and live and work the entire year, June through May.
